Howell Lithographic Company 1

The Editor's uncle, Mister Harry Marshall of Mount Hope, was employed throughout his working years in the commercial art and graphics field. He accepted a position with the Howell Lithographic Company in 1946.

Harry took note of a group of men at Howell, older than the others, and separate from them. Harry refers to them as artists, and they were the last lithographers employed by Howell. When they retired, or died, they were not replaced. Stone lithography ceased to be a part of the commercial graphics trade.
